Noida nursing homes seek mixed land use

Last Updated 29 August 2012, 19:53 IST

Noida nursing home and clinic owners want the authorities to allow mixed land use for their functioning in their present premises.

The nursing home and clinic owners on Tuesday wrote a letter to UP chief minister Akhilesh Yadav putting forth the demand. Noida MLA Dr Mahesh Sharma has extended support to them.

Their five-point demands included provision of mixed land use for the premises where nursing homes and clinics are being run. They say they are ready paying the nominal charges for the same. All those who are rendering medical services to the public for many years be allowed to work on ‘as is where is’ basis.

A C Bisaria, president of Noida chapter of Indian Medical Association, said, “All the affected doctors should be rehabilitated by amending the present scheme of nursing homes plots by offering similar sizes of plot.”

Professional activity like running a clinic should be permitted from the basement in Noida on the lines of Delhi government, Bisaria said.
