Decision on load-shedding by month-end: Shobha

The State government will take a decision on limited load shedding by this month end.

Power Minister Shobha Karandlaje told reporters at Sangapur village in the taluk on Saturday that the decision would be taken depending on the amount of rainfall received this month and the increase in power generation.

The minister said water level in the reservoirs of the State including Linganamakki, Varahi and Supa was less.

Efforts were being made to store water till December and it could be used to generate power necessary for the months of January to May.

Karandlaje said that the decrease in the supply of coal was responsible for the power crisis in the State.
