The dance performance of Pushya Pradeep and Sindhu Pradeep was a double bonanza for the audience, as the City-based dancers mesmerised the audience with their energy and talent.

Held at the Yavanika Hall of the State Youth Centre, it was organised by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations under the ‘Every Friday Cultural Evening
Programme’.

The bharatanatyam recital was full of zeal, coupled with brilliant expressions and excellent coordination. The duo began their dance with a ganesh vandana and went on to perform some fast and expressive numbers.

The coordination was something to look out for. With all the notes and expressions in place, the girls mesmerised the audience.

“It is very nice to see young and fresh talent in the City. The best part is that the young dancers who perform here are extremely talented and perform with a lot of dedication as well as energy. It is the best entertainment for people like us, who love
Indian classical dance,” said Nitya P, who had come to see the show.

The hall was packed and as the duo started performing, the audience applauded them for the effort that they put in.

Along with the many senior citizens who had come to watch, several young dancers had also taken interest and had come to see the show.

“I come for this show almost regularly and it is very nice to see young artistes perform. There is a lot of scope to learn here. That there is so much talent in the City is obvious by the fact that there is some new performance every week at the Yavanika Hall,” said Rishma, a member of the audience.

The brilliant use of stage and the beautiful choreography enhanced the performance. The girls added their own touch to some of the classic ragas.

“They were intelligent to use the stage in a great way and this made the show very interesting. It was innovative and not monotonous in any way. That kept the audience glued to their seats,” noted Ashwin, a dancer who had come to see the show.

The latter half of the show included a fast number. The duo’s performance made quite an impression on the audience.
