The High Court on Thursday issued a notice to the Bruhat Bangalore Mahangara Palike (BBMP) in a public interest litigation which had challenged the Palike’s inaction on the Bangalore Metropolitan Task Force’s (BMTF) inquiry report in 2009.
The report had pointed towards large scale irregularities in the tendering process in a scheme on free computer training to members belonging to backward classes, minority, SC and ST in the eight zones of the BBMP.
The petitioner, Shivananda, said in spite of the BMTF Task Force submitting a report to the Palike in 2009, no action was taken against the respondents.
