Conserve environment, says MLA

 He was speaking at the Shalegonduvana programme organised at the Government Primary School in Kuppali of Chikkaballapur taluk on Saturday. District Environment Conservation Forum had organised the programme.

District Deputy Conservator of Forest N Rajashekar called upon the villagers to preserve sand along with protecting the trees.
The officer observed that it was necessary to preserve sand in order to maintain ground water table.

District Environment Conservation Forum president Ramegowda said that each student must be motivated to plant and nourish a sapling. The dream of a nursery for a school can be realised only with such initiative Taluk Panchayat member K R Reddy, Kuppalli Gram Panchayat president Srinivas, Milk Producers Co-operative Society president Channabhiregowda, Environment Forum district convener H K Lakshmipaty, secretary Anand, Regional Forest Officer Timmaiah, headmaster K L Srinivas and others were present.
