JOIN US9 held for plotting dacoity
A knife, a bicycle chain and two machets were recovered from their possession. Subbaiah (19), Deepak Kumar (31), and Srinivas (19), all natives of Begur, Somashekhar (25) of Banashankari and Prasad (21) of Kolar were among those held. On interrogation, the group revealed that they had looted a car, a laptop, mobile phone, cash and jewels worth Rs 2 lakh from a man around four months back.
Apart from these arrests, the KR Puram police also said that it had recently arrested three thieves, who had burgled into many houses. Two motorcycles have been recovered from the possession of Ashok of Kurudu Sonnenahalli.
One Muniswami (55) of Chittur district in Andhra Pradesh, was also recently arrested for burgling a house at Koudenahalli and decamping with a mobile phone and two gold rings totally worth Rs 80,000.
Woman murdered
An unidentified woman was found murdered behind the Gangadhraiah Kalyan Mantap near Kereguddadahalli, Soladevanahalli. People who found the body alerted the police.
In Kadugondanahalli, miscreants killed an unidentified man by hitting with a stone on his head at a plot behind Vyalikaval Cooperative Society, Veeranna Palya on Sunday night.
