Safdarjung techie goes missing

A 26-year-old software engineer went missing from his house in Safdarjung Enclave in south Delhi last week.

Though police registered a case of kidnapping, they found no clues in the case till Sunday.
According to police, Sunil Parihar, who is from Mathura in UP, was staying at his uncle’s house at Krishna Nagar in Safdarjung Enclave.

“He left the house at 3 pm on September 9 without carrying his wallet,” said Shailender Singh, a cousin of Sunil.

“When he did not return by midnight, we started calling him on his mobile, but it was unreachable. The next morning we approached police and lodged a missing person compliant,” Shailender added.

After not getting any information about Sunil, police on Sunday registered a case of kidnapping.

Family members, however, denied any kind of personnel enmity of Sunil. During investigation, it has been found that Sunil’s mobile was of dual SIM facility. One of the Reliance numbers was used on September 10.

Tracing phone calls

At 7 am, someone called a person, who has been identified as Kamlesh, a labourer by profession, from the number. When police approached Kamlesh he told that he got the call but after saying “hello”, the connection got cut.

According to a senior police officer, they are investigation the case. Sunil was working in a software company in Noida Sector-63. His father Devender Parihar lives in Mathura and runs a small transport business.
