<p>A deer was mowed down by a speeding vehicle taking part in the ‘K 1000 car rally’ near Ajjakadirenahalli forest on Saturday.<br /><br /></p>.<p>The car rammed the animal which came in its way near Krishnapura plantation. The forest department staff and local people took the deer for treatment, but to no avail.<br /><br /> Villagers alleged that there had been an untoward incident for the past three years during the rally.</p>
