Two stabbed in group clash

Two men were stabbed in a group clash after a Ganesha idol immersion in Rajanukunte, Sunday night.

Nagesh and Kumar were returning home on a bike after immersion when a gang of four accosted and stabbed the two repeatedly. Police said one person has been arrested.

The Karnataka Government Secretariat Employees’ Association has denied reports that its annual general body meeting on September 22, at Vikasa Soudha, turned violent and six people were injured in the subsequent clashes.

The Association said some of the disgruntled members tried to disturb the meeting, but could not succeed. The disgruntled members filed a false complaint. This made them file a counter complaint, it said.
