Reiffer blames it on toss

Last Updated 01 October 2009, 11:13 IST

"We have seen on these tracks of Wanderers that if you lose toss and bat first, you are four or five wickets down by the 20th over," said Reiffer whose side were four for 31 in no time after they had been invited to bat first.

Although West Indies completed a hattrict of losses in the Champions Trophy with a seven-wicket defeat against India, Reiffer took a lot of positives out of the tournament for his side who competed well against Pakistan and Australia.

"We have bowled well and with a little bit of luck and better batting, could have beaten Australia," Reiffer said.
"Roach has bowled the fastest in this tournament and he regularly clocked upwards of 90mph. He surely is one of the fastest in business."

There is a possibility that West Indies Cricket Board could bring back the original team in near future but Reiffer said it was for his board to decide.
