Heavy rain: Boy killed in house collapse

The father of the victim, Nagaraj, mother Sudha, grandfather Saraswathamma, siblings Sowmya and Gowthami have sustained injuries in the incident.
The dampened walls of the house collapsed as it had been raining heavily in the taluk for the past three days. With this, the death toll due to incessant rain in the taluk has risen to two.

District in-charge minister Dr Mumtaz Ali Khan has declared that a sum of Rs one lakh will be paid as compensation to the family of the victims.
Speaking to reporters after meeting the family members of the deceased, the minister said that the district administration has been directed to make alternate arrangements for the family of the victims.

Deputy Commissioner Anwar Pasha said that house would be got constructed from Zilla Panchayat. Legislator K P Bachegowda, Zilla Panchayat vice-president Chenduru Venkatesh were present.
