RTI fest on Oct 14

Right To Information fest has been organised by Mysore Against Corruption (MAC) in association with Hoysala Karnataka Sangha on October 14 from 10 am to 4 pm at Sri Chandrashekarendra Saraswati Shatamanothsava Bhavana on Narayana Shasthri road.

At a press meet here on Wednesday, convenor of MAC G R Vidyaranya said the event is organised on account of seventh anniversary of RTI Act 2005. He said, RTI is not a weapon but it should be utilised as a tool for social change.

He said that public will be provided with complete information about RTI Act and Sakala- Karnataka Guarantee of Services to Citizen Act 2011 along with interactions with experts on provisions of the acts.

People facing delay in their works could even consult volunteers of MAC for free along with relevant documents regarding their problems.  Activist Vasanthkumar Mysoremath, Vinod and others were present.
