Nissan Motor India recently launched the new multi-utility vehicle ‘Evalia’. The all new Nissan Evalia is powered by the K9K straight-4 turbocharged diesel from Renault Nissan’s engine family, which can churn out 85 PS of power @ 3750 rpm and a maximum torque of 200 Nm @ 2000 rpm.

With a smooth-shifting five speed manual transmission, the Evalia delivers a fuel efficiency of 19.3 kmpl of diesel (ARAI certified), around 50 per cent better than its nearest class rival, the company claimed.

According to Nitish Tipnis, Director of Marketing & Sales, Hover Automotive India (HAI) - Nissan’s sole and exclusive distributor in India: “Evalia is perfectly in tune with customers who desire a comfortable long drive with their immediate and extended families, as well as having the flexibility to handle the demands of urban motoring with ease.”

According to Ishida Takayuki, Nissan Motor India Managing Director: “With the launch of Evalia we are delivering on our commitment to expand our line-up in India and offer our customers even greater choice. Our strengthening model range, supported by a robust customer value proposition, means I am confident Nissan will enjoy another highly successful year in India.”
