The Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike has launched a dengue awareness programme, with officials visiting as many as 4,000 houses in the City.
The team, comprising nursing students and members of the mosquito control team, visited each house in their uniforms, with an identity card.
As many as 500 link workers have been roped in for the campaign.
The awareness drive was held at Dasarahalli, Kadubeesanahalli and Ulsoor areas. Mosquito larvae were cleared from 677 locations. The campaign will be extended to the other parts of the City shortly.
