149 fresh dengue cases reported

As many as 149 fresh dengue positive cases have been reported by the Health Directorate in the last 10 days in the State with nearly 76 cases being reported in Bangalore City alone

.

The Health Department has been sending samples to the National Institute of Virology for re-testing and as per the latest reports, 2,962 persons including 753 persons from the City have tested positive.

Palike recently re-launched a dengue awareness drive by roping in nursing students to conduct the programme.

Till date, 94,454 houses have been surveyed and in over 2,865 locations mosquito larvae have been removed from breeding places.
