Eight persons were injured when a gas cylinder exploded in one of the houses of the staff quarters of Lady Hardinge Hospital in the wee hours today.
"The incident happened around 3 AM, when a gas cylinder exploded in one of the houses of the staff quarters. Eight persons sustained minor injuries," the official said.
The injured were rushed to the hospital, he said, adding the cause of fire is being ascertained.
