Neha Dhupia is an actress who isn’t averse to any form of risk — some of the bold roles she’s essayed during her stint in the film industry illustrate this fact.

But the actress feels that the biggest gamble she’s taken so far was for her latest film, ‘Rush’. Neha can be seen sporting a closely cropped blunt cut in this film — a look she has never tried out before.

“We thought a lot — whether to do it or not and took a big risk. As it’s written on movie’s poster, jo aadmi risk nahi leta, uska sab risky ho jaata hai (A person who doesn’t take risks, has a risky life). I think the biggest risk I took was cutting my hair,” the 32-year-old says.

But she’s quick to add that she has no regrets. “I’m missing my hair — but I’m glad that people like this look. As an actor, it’s very important that you are able to experiment and do different things all the time. When I got this character, it had to be effortless and at the same time sexy — and I had to be a career woman. So short hair was the way to go,” she adds. Meanwhile, Neha says that Emraan Hashmi — who plays a mediaperson in the film — is just the opposite of his on-screen image in real life. “Working with Emraan is fabulous.

Whatever I say about him is not enough. He is just the opposite of the kind of image he has on screen. He is a little boy at heart: full of fun and very mischievous on the sets,” Neha smiles. Directed by Priyanka Desai, ‘Rush’ also features Sagarika Ghatge and Aditya Pancholi.
