Low-key affair for Aaradhya

The princess of the Bachchan household — Aishwarya’s one-year-old daughter Aaradhya — had a low-key and quiet birthday celebration.

The Bachchans have been fiercely private about their little bundle of joy, but she was recently revealed to shutterbugs at a function at which Aishwarya was being honoured by the French government.

Speaking about the tot’s birthday celebrations just a little while before the big day, Aishwarya revealed that the family had planned a low-key affair. “Time just flies by — now she’s turning one year old. We plan to keep her birthday a private, family affair. It will be just family — including my parents,” she explained, adding that Aaradhya’s first Deepavali was also quite special. “As this was her first Deepavali, we had both family and friends coming to our place,” she said.

Meanwhile, her husband Abhishek feels that a baby’s first birthday is very special for a mother. “I think the first birthday is special for the baby’s mother. The mother  spends so much time with the baby,” he said.
