Nagaraj wins 100M gold

Nagaraj had been struggling with injuries but the Railway athlete showed he had made a good recovery with a pacy run on the day. Ritesh Anand, also of Railways, won the silver in 10.57 seconds while Tamil Nadu’s S Sathya claimed the bronze in 10.59 seconds.
S K Mortaja upset favourite Bibin Mathew to win the men’s 400M in 46.59 seconds while Kerala’s Tintu Luka claimed the women’s 800 in 2:03.53.

Tamil Nadu’s Gayathri Govindarajan claimed the women’s 100M hurdles in 13.98 seconds while in long jump, M A Prajusha leapt to 6.28 metres to push her Railway team-mate Reshmi Bose (6.21 metres) to second place.
