APEX Global Leaders Analytics Track for Excellence programme

Analytics has become a common activity in practically all areas of business, research, and government.

Any time complex information needs to be processed to drive decisions that will impact the effectiveness or competitiveness of an enterprise, the data analysis techniques formally summarised under the umbrella term “analytics” are useful and often indispensable to “make sense” of the information available for arriving at the “right” decisions.

 Analytics and insights gathered from data can deliver effective decisions and strategies to create enterprise value. It is imperative that the senior executives in any organisation develop an analytical mind-set towards business operations to compete in the marketplace.

The APEX Global Leaders Analytics Track for Excellence programme has been designed especially for senior level executives, who are responsible for making strategic and operational decisions, which impact the organisation. The programme has been designed to cover all dimensions of Business Analytics from an enterprise perspective, namely the strategy, the math, the technology, the people and the process.
The modules and the learning areas are enumerated below:

Module: BA Math; Learning objective: Deciphering the a, b & r of BA; Key learning areas: The math and science of decision making; Statistics, operations research and econometrics; Algorithms and models.

Module: BA Technology;  Learning Objective: BA tools and technology architecture; Key learning areas: Corporate intelligence architecture; BI technology stack; Emerging technologies; Digital markets.

Module: BA People; Learning Objective: Building analytics talent pool for an effective BA organisation; Key learning areas: Analytics culture; The organisation structure; Roles and responsibilities.

Module: BA Process; Learning Objective: Business analytics roadmap for organisation wide excellence; Key learning areas: Analytics maturity; Cross-functional/ inter-functional operational analytics; Analytics virtual cycle.

The programme duration is for 50 hours, and it begins on December 3, 2012, onwards for two weeks including Saturdays. The venue is Apex Global, 2nd Floor, D Tower, Diamond District, Old Airport Road, Bangalore – 560008. The fee for the programme is Rs. 50,000 + 12.36 per cent tax.
