<p>A bailable warrant was issued by a local court here against a former Uttar Pradesh minister to ensure his presence in the court to depose as a prosecution witness in the nine-year-old murder case of his father.<br /><br /></p>.<p>Additional district sessions Judge R P Singh on Wednesday issued warrant against Yograj Singh, a Bahujan Samaj Party leader, after he failed to appear before the court despite repeated summons.<br /><br />The court directed SSP Muzaffarnagar to execute the warrant on Yograj to appear before the court on December 13 for cross examination in connection with the case.<br /><br />Yograj is an eyewitness and complainant in the murder of his father and Congress leader Choudhry Jagbir Singh. Jagbir was shot dead at Ahlawalpur village in September 2003. A case was registered against three persons, including Bhartiya Kisan Union leader Naresh Tikait. Two of the accused have died during the course of hearing of the case.</p>
