The Indian Institute of Horticulture Research (IIHR) has organised a symposium on ‘Blending conventional and modern plant pathology for sustainable agriculture’ on Tuesday at the IIHR in Hesaraghatta.
The symposium is being held jointly with the Indian Phytopathological Society, New Delhi and University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore.
The event will discuss issues such as genetic diversity and molecular diagnosis of emerging plant pathogens, secondary resistance, exploitation of bioactive molecules, genetic engineering for fungal resistance, nanotechnology in fungal disease diagnostics and other related topics.
