That is perhaps why the audio release of Ravana was a short-n-sweet affair. Yogish had ‘ordered’ each of the team members to finish what they had to say in one minute! Accordingly, director Yogish Hunsur began his speech by defending his decision to direct a remake. “I have returned to direction after a long time and so took up a remake. Even though Ravana is a remake (of Kadal Kondein), you will find my style in the film,” Hunsur assured the scribes. “I have ensured that the producer should not incur any loss...” Hunsur reinforced his defence the usual way.

Up next was composer Abhiman Roy, who was satisfied with his re-recording as well. “The producers wanted me to use the original soundtrack for the film’s climax, but my composition won the day,” Abhiman beamed.

The chakli nippat tindkond... song is sung by Abhiman himself. Yogish was happy with the way action-director Ravivarma shot the action sequences of the climax at Muttatti and predicted that the chakli nippat song would be a super-hit song. Heroine Sanchita though preferred the melodious hejje gurutu song. Producers Uday Mehta and Mohan G Naik’s ear-to-ear smiles were proof enough that they were satisfied with the product.
