Aarumugam

He has been the man with the Midas Touch. His ‘Baasha’, ‘Annamalai’, ‘Satya’, and ‘Indran Chandran’, bear testimony to his boxoffice success. Lately, though, he has delivered only duds.

Suresh Krishna’s latest offering ‘Aarumugam’  is predictable and pedestrian. A revisit of his decade-old ‘Annamalai’, with Rajnikanth, Krishna tries to whip up a heady cocktail with Bharath at the helm.

Bharath tries to mimic the superstar as a happy- go-lucky roadside idli-coffee eatery owner and falls flat.  Even the svelte Priyamani fails to light up the dismal drama. The presence of  Ramya Krishnan does not do any good to pep up the proceedings either. Suresh Krishna has fallen into a rut with skimpy outfits, skin & cleavage, bawdy comedy and bombastic dialogues.
