Four end lives in City

 Shobha, a newly married woman, was found hanging from the ceiling fan at her Garagappa Gardens residence Tuesday night.

Married to Mohan Kumar, a salesman in a saree shop, a month ago, Shobha did not answer to any of her husband’s calls, on Tuesday night, when he returned home from work. Mohan Kumar grew suspicious and peeped through the window to find her hanging in their bedroom.

Shobha’s father, Jeevanappa, a farmer at Harohalli, in his statement to the police, has said that there was no harassment from his son-in-law and that he was not aware what drove his daughter to take the extreme step.

In another incident, Nanadakumar, 25, a call centre employee, ended his life by allegedly hanging at his house in Rajajinagar VI Block.

On Tuesday night, he returned home and went to his room after dinner. His mother, Manjula grew suspicious when he did not wake up Wednesday morning. She peeped through the window to find him hanging. Police said he has not left any death note and the reason for the extreme step is yet to be ascertained.

Manjunath, 22, was found hanging at his house in Laggere on Wednesday. He is said to have taken the extreme step when his wife, Pushpa, had been to her parents’ house and his mother had been to the garments factory where she is employed.

When his mother returned home, she found a crowd in front of her house. Manjunath had kept the main door open and some neighbours had found him hanging.

In another case, the decomposed body of Puttalingaiah, 50, and a resident of Chowdeshwari Nagar, was found hanging from the roof of a dilapidated building in the same locality. An alcoholic, he had gone missing for the last 20 days and a missing case had been registered at the Rajagopalnagar Police Station.
