Malik lands late thanks to confusion

Pakistan Interior Minister Rehman Malik’s arrival in New Delhi on Friday was marked with initial hiccups. The delay in the special aircraft’s touchdown at the international airport here was attributed to confusion.

The Malik-led Pakistan delegation was supposed to land at the technical airport at 2 pm as per the original schedule. But, the Union home ministry spokesperson communicated that his special aircraft would land at 3:45 pm. Despite that there was confusion in the North Block and South Block as the journalists were at sea when the aircraft did not land at the announced time.

It is learnt that the delay was due to the confusion about the aircraft Malik was flying in.
