Hearing of complaints against Yeddyurappa adjourned

The Special Lokayukta Court on Saturday adjourned the hearing of private complaints relating to denotification of land against former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa
The court directed the counsel for the complainant Sirajin Basha to furnish a list of witnesses in the cases within a week.

Special Lokayukta Court Judge N K Sudhindra, who heard the matter, directed Basha to be present before the court during the next date of hearing.

The judge also directed the Urban Development Department to furnish all the documents related to the cases, as per the order passed in April 2012. Yeddyurappa, his son B Y Vijayendra and Housing Minister V Somanna, appeared before the court.

Complaints galore

The Lokayukta Court was hearing private complaints No 2 (denotification of Rachenahalli and allocation of land earmarked for road at Nagawara), private complaint No 3, (denotification of land at Arakere, Devarachikkanahalli and Geddlahalli), private complaint No 4 (denotification of land at Agara village), private complaint No 5, (denotification of land at Hebbal Amanikere village) and private complaint No 6 (illegal allocation of land to relatives at HSR Layout and illegal denotification at Nagarabavi village), all filed by Basha.

Another private complaint filed by Y S V Datta against the former chief minister alleging irregularities in allocation of work in the Upper Bhadra project also came up for hearing.
All the cases have been adjourned to January 24.
