Aeronautical Development Establishment (ADE) downed Rail Wheel Factory (RWF) 2-1 in the BDFA Super Division League at the Bangalore Football Stadium here on Tuesday.

The victory took ADE to six points from thee matches, while RWF have four points from four games.

ADE dominated the match for most part and could have won by a bigger margin, but for poor finishing by their strikers. ADE drew first blood in the 22nd minute when Stephen volleyed home from inside the area off a cross by Lokesh.

ADE doubled the lead in the 36th minute when Anto Xavier’s header off a corner-kick from Stephen beat Dilip Kumar in the RWF goal. Soon after, Dilip pulled off a brilliant diving save to cut off a dangerous cross from Stephen.

Just when ADE seemed to have shut RWF out of the match, their custodian Dayalan allowed the rivals to claw back into the match. Dalayan brought down Kavi Arasu inside the area while going for a regulation take as referee Michael pointed to the spot. Regin coolly converted the penalty in the 42nd minute.

ADE were lucky to go into the break 2-1 up, as Arasu missed a golden chance in the very next minute as he shot straight at Dayalan.

Arasu had another fine opportunity to draw level for RWF in the 57th minute.

However, the striker blasted the ball wide with Dyalan at his mercy.

Anto blew away two golden chances to consolidate ADE’s position towards the end of the match. In the 77th, Anto’s volley missed the target, while three minutes later the striker shot wide with only the goalkeeper to beat.

ADE were lucky with the misses did not prove costly.

Earlier, Bangalore Kickers rallied to hold AGORC 1-1 in the ‘A’ Division. Praveen put AGORC in front in the 33rd minute, while Dayananda scored the equaliser in the 74th minute.
