In a touching gesture, Yuvraj Singh on Thursday dedicated his man of the match award to the girl, who was molested and thrown out of a moving bus in Delhi a few days ago.

The Delhi lass has been admitted to a local hospital in critical condition. “The reason I am here also because I want to dedicate this man of the match award to the girl in Delhi and her parents.

“I don’t know what’s her current state is, but the entire team is concerned with her health and we have been reading reports about her. It’s been quite disturbing and hope such things won’t get repeated,” Yuvraj told reporters after guiding India to a five-wicket win over England at the Subrata Roy Sahara stadium.

The Punjab cricketer scored 38 runs and took three wickets as India went 1-0 up in the two-match series.

The second match will be played at the Wankhede stadium on Saturday.
On the importance of the win, Yuvraj said, “It’s good to score a win, and hopefully we can repeat it in Mumbai. It’s also a good feeling to contribute to the win.”
