Jagadish Kumar shines for NCC

A good spell of medium-pace bowling by C G Jagadeesh Kumar (five for 15), helped National CC to register a facile 77-run win over Mysore Cricket Club and enter the quarter-finals in the DELL-KSCA Mysore Zone T20 tournament 2012, conducted by the KSCA Mysore Zone and played at the PET Grounds in Mandya on Sunday.

The scores: At Mandya: Pre-quarterfinals: NCC 174 for six in 20 overs (Zafruddin 43, Deepak S Gowda 34, Anurag Bajpai 31, Harish B three for 33) bt MCC 97 in 16.4 overs (Sharath 22, Harikrishna Kumar two for 14, C G Jagadeesh Kumar five for 15).

Jaihind CC 129 for eight in 20 overs (Vinay 26, Yashwanth 32, Pruthvishekar 25, Rohith Kumar two for 27, Mahadev two for eight, Dilip two for 23) bt YMCC 92 in 17.1 overs (Ramprasad 40, Chandrashekar three for 16, Shashidhara two for 12, J Kiran two for 19).

At Mysore: Jayanagar CC 179 for four in 20 overs (Rahul V Kashyap 61, C Ajay 29, U Kruthik 56 not out, Ramachandra two for 38) bt Jo Jo CC 141 in 19 overs (Akash 32, P Vishnu 58, Shashidhara A three for 39, Ajay three for four).

Navodaya CC 164 for eight in 20 overs (Mahesh 36, Balasubramani 59, Shariff three for 36, Majid three for 29) bt City Cricketers, Mandya 149 for seven in 20 overs (Majid 65, Anil 26).
The Mysore Gymkhana 137 for seven in 20 overs (Rohith V Tiwary 42, Nitin Vinayak 43, Somashekar 29) bt Yuvaraja’s College 115 for nine in 20 overs (Prasad three for 19, Somashekar two for nine).

Karavali Cricketers 90 in 17 overs (Appanna Punith two for 24, Sunil Kumar Jain two for 14) lost to MUCSC 93 for two in 14.1 overs (Sunil Kumar Jain 52, Goutham Sreeja 26).
