ASC trounce hapless DYSS

Sreejith netted a brace in Army Service Corps’ thumping 5-0 win over Department of Youth Services and Sports in the Super Division football league here on Tuesday.

Sreejith found the target in the seventh and 21st minutes of the match while Nitesh B (17th), Sheikh A (47th) and Ramachandra (57th) completed the rout for the Army team.
The win powered ASC to top of the table with 10 points from five ties while DYSS are yet to open their account, suffering their fifth consecutive defeat.

In the ‘A’ Division, Controllerate of Inspection Electronics (CIL) rallied to beat Bangalore Mars 2-1.

Mars took the lead through Alex in the 12th minute before Pradeep, who found the target in the 46th and 80th minutes, helped CIL collect three points.
Wednesday’s matches: ‘A’ Division: AGORC vs Jawahar Union. Super Division: South United Football Club vs RWF.
