Conference on recent advances in biotechnology from Dec 27

A three- day international conference on “Recent advances and challenges in biotechnology” will be organised, at NMAM Institute of Technology, Nitte from December 27 to 29.

The department of biotechnology engineering will be hosting the conference as a part of its decennial celebrations, said a press release.

The conference will be inaugurated by Dr Jyoti Iyer, Senior Scientific Manager, Biocon, Bangalore. National University of Singapore Professor Dr Prakash Kumar will deliver a key-note address. Nitte Education Trust President and Nitte University Chancellor N Vinay Hegde will preside.

Plenary speakers of the conference include Dr Sairam Rudrabhatla, Professor, Penn State University, Harrisburg; Dr Prakash Hande,  Professor, National University of Singapore; Dr. Arun Isloor, Professor, NITK Surathkal; Dr B Madhusudan, Professor, Davanagere University; Dr Gopal Marathe, Professor, Mysore University. They will deliver a talk on various issues pertaining to recent advances and challenges in the field of Biotechnology.
