BCCI chief visits Subramanya temple

“Sachin is one among the best players in the world. He has voluntarily declared his retirement. He has won the hearts of many.

His decision to retire from ODIs is his personal and as he has said, his retirement with the intention of making room for new comers is welcome. We are glad that he continues in test cricket, though we are sad that we would miss Sachin’s play in ODIs,” said BCCI President Shrinivasan.

Speaking to media persons after paying a visit to Kukke Subramanya temople on Tuesday, he said that the Indian cricket team , with talented players has a good future ahead.

“IPL is the peoples’ favourite and they are looking forward to it. There are lots of expectations from ‘Deccan Chargers’ which has been recristianed as ‘Sun risers’ and come under the ownership of Sun Network and has come with a new spirit. A suitable day has been fixed so as to include the best players in the match,” he said.

He said that Indian cricket team is stable and expressed belief that the team will give good performance in the coming one day series.

Shrinivasan came with his wife Chitra Shrinivasan, took sankalpa and offered ‘Panchamrita Mahabhisheka’ and ‘Shesha Seva’ to the deity.He then went to Shri Vidyaprasanna Shreepada of Subramanya Shri Samputa Narasimha Swami Mutt and sought his blessings.
Jayachandra Shringeri, Lakshminarayana Aivarnadu, Shreenath Prabhu Shashikumar and others visited the holy places along with Shrinivasan.
