The District Lokayukta Special Court, on Thursday, reserved its verdict on the bail pleas filed by Deputy Chief Minister K S Eshwarappa, his son K E Kantesh and daughter-in-law Shalini in the alleged disproportionate assets case.

The Lokayukta police filed objections to the bail applications. Prosecutor Hemanthkumar argued for the Lokayukta police and urged the court not to grant bail to Eshwarappa and his family members. Meanwhile, Lokayukta Superintendent of Police (SP) Swamy and DySP P O Shivakumar produced property documents and other valuables confiscated during the raid on Eshwarappa’s residence, before the court.

The deputy chief minister’s counsel Ashok Bhat argued on his behalf. After hearing the arguments by both the parties, the judge, R M Shettar, said he would pronounce the verdict on the bail pleas on December 31.
