JOIN USAlleging misappropriation in Vajpayee residential layout proposed by the Chikmagalur Urban Development Authority, JD(S) leader S L Bhoje Gowda has urged the Deputy Commissioner to examine the issue and take appropriate action.
Speaking to media persons on Friday, he said misappropriation is visible in the project even before it could commence, hence the CDA Chairperson will have to clarify before the public.
Tender was called for the project on October 12. But the CDA has published the tender advertisements in the national level news papers rather than in the local news papers. The CDA had come forward to give the contract to a Mumbai based company, who had quoted more than the SR rate.
The tender notification was published even before obtaining approval from the State Finance Department and the Cabinet. When the issue was brought to the notice of the Deputy Commissioner, he cancelled the tender with the fear of opposition from various quarters.
“What was the necessity to carry out the tender process by hiding it from others. The tender process has to be investigated by the Deputy Commissioner,” he demanded.
