The Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation has bagged an award instituted by Association of State Road Transport Undertakings (Astru) for its performance in three categories - highest tyre performance, maximum improvement in tyre performance and minimum operational cost at City service during the year 2010-11.
The award was presented recently in New Delhi. Astru is a body under the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, according to a press release from the BMTC.
