Metal lovers from all over the City were in for a treat as 10 metal bands performed at ‘The Pit 2’ concert held at ‘Dug Out’ bar in Koramangala.

The concert was organised to promote local metal bands. Bands from other states, including Kerala, were also a part of the event.

Rishabh, one of the organisers, said that the motive of this fest was to promote the metal bands in the City.
“We have more than 10 bands performing today and we are expecting a crowd of more than 400. It is a great opportunity for those who love this genre of music. It is the four of us who are organising this fest and the response so far has been great,” he informs.

Bands like ‘Thrash’, ‘House of Penelope’, ‘Traces’ and many more played at the concert. The headlining act was by ‘De ‘Sat’ and the co-headlining act was by ‘Heretic’.

Metal fans from all over the City were present at the concert. Benjamin, the bass guitarist of the band ‘Heretic’ found the event a great way to increase the popularity of this genre of music.

“The turnout has been very impressive and many youngsters were seen appreciating and understanding the music. It is encouraging for musicians like us and we are happy that so many people have come here to listen to us. Many people today are aware of metal bands. We are here to promote our latest album and play some of songs from the album,” he added.

Greeshma, who was there with her friends for the concert, pointed out that it is the same group of metal fans who attend all the concerts.

“I am not a big fan of this genre of music but I am here to support and encourage my friends. These concerts are a good platform for local bands and it is important that people get to hear their music as well,” she said.

Youngsters could be seen enjoying the music and many said that most of the band members were their friends and it was good to see the crowd liking the music.

“I have a lot of friends who are playing today and most of them are my good friends. I have heard the songs when it was just an idea. Now that I am seeing the final product, I am very proud of my friends,” said Adityan, who was there at the concert.
