Results of the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2012 will be declared on January 9.
Around 2.14 lakh students appeared for the exam that took place over a 21-day testing window from October 11, 2012, to November 6, 2012.
CAT 2012 convenor Prof SSS Kumar advised students to be patient and not rush to log into their results, as there would be heavy online traffic on the first day.
The results will be accessible till December 31, 2013.
The test, which was conducted in 61 centres across 36 cities, saw a 4.5 per cent increase in the number of candidates taking it, compared with the previous year.
Last year 2.05 lakh candidates had appeared for the test. There has been a marked rise in the number of female candidates appearing for the exams, since the past year. Except for the glitch that occurred in the New Delhi centre on the eighth day of the exam, it was largely successful.
Bangalore was one of the centres that saw high turnout of candidates appearing for the exam, along with New Delhi, Pune, Mumbai and Hyderabad.
