Actor Arshad Warsi decided to choose Vishal Bharadwaj's much-awaited 'Dedh Ishqiya' over Raj Kumar Hirani's 'Peekay' following date issues.

Hirani was keen on signing Arshad for 'Peekay' after the success of the 'Munnabhai' series, but the actor could not accomodate the film in his schedule.

"Rajkumar Hirani wanted me to do 'Peekay'. Unfortunately, the dates of 'Dedh Ishqiya' and 'Peekay' were clashing. And I had to choose one project. So I decided to go with 'Dedh Ishqiya'," Arshad told reporters here last night at an event.

'Peekay' stars Aamir Khan, Anushka Sharma and Sushant Singh Rajput in lead roles.
The 44-year-old actor is now looking forward to the release of his upcoming comedy flick 'Jolly LLB'.

When asked why he chooses to do more of comedy films, Arshad says, "I think there is a lot of pain every where around and laughter is the best medicine. I want people to have fun, laugh out. Out of ten movies that I am offered eight are comedies but still in that zone I choose to do something different.""

Directed by Subhash Kapoor of 'Phas Gaya Re Obama' fame, 'Jolly LLB' will see Arshad and Boman Irani playing the role of lawyers who are pitted against each other for a case.

The film also stars Amrita Rao as Arshad's love interest.
