The road will remain closed for vehicles till the work was completed, stated Deputy Commissioner V Ponnuraj in a press release. Vehicles from Badriya Junction should take a deviation through 1st, 2nd or 3rd cross of Bamboo Bazar to reach Old Fishing Port.
Meanhwile, vehicles from the Old Fishing Port should ply on 4th cross of the Bamboo Bazar to reach the city. Moreover, all roads on Bamboo Bazar will be declared as no parking zones and one way traffic routes, the release added.
