Prostitution racket: Remand for accused

 
The Mico Layout Police had raided Vijay Residency Deluxe Lodge on Monday evening after monitoring the telephonic conversations of the accused for several days, and recovered 10 cellphones, Rs 17,255 in cash.

Suresh, a Mico Layout Police Constable, went to the lodge disguised as ‘customer’ and later, the police raided the hotel and arrested the accused including the manager of the lodge.
Arun (30), resident of Hongasandra, Yatish (33), native of K R Nagar taluk in Mysore district, Amar Singh (28) and Bikki Singh (19), both natives of Agra, Kumare Gowda (20), native of K R Pete in Mandya district, Preeti (21), Rekha (27), Arjun Singh (25), Madhu Singh (20), Varsha Singh (19) and Kanchan, all residents of Mumbai, Saroj Singh, native of Kolkata, Swapna, Sanahanasa Rai (18), native of Malwar and Suresh, manager of the lodge, were arrested for moral trafficking.
