The annual Rotary Corporate Golf tournament will be held at the Karnataka Golf Association on Friday with the aim of raising funds for its education programmes.

“Being an avid golfer and a Rotarian, I wanted the club to raise awareness amongst corporates on the various charitable works we do,” said GV Radhakrishnan, who started the event in 1998.

“I also wanted it to be an opportunity to help raise funds for our works. When I went with the idea to a few corporate houses, they were really happy with it. Ever since, we’ve being having the event continuously and have generated a lot of funds,” added Radhakrishnan, who served as the president of the Rotary Club in 2005-06.

The fee for single entry is Rs 1,500 and Rs 6,000 for a team of four. The event is open to public. To be played in stableford format over 18 holes, the event will kick off at 7.00 am (shotgun start).
