Re-route Metro from Ambedkar Veedhi: BU VC


In a release issued here on Wednesday, N Prabhu Dev described the above buildings as heritage structures and added that if not today, the Bangalore Metro project would certainly damage the monumental structures over the next few years.

However, vice-chancellor has clarified that these are his personal views. “The constant and consistent movement of trains would certainly damage these structures in the course of time. Another important factor would be that the sub-station could be a sitting duck for terror-related activities. It can be recalled that in London, Glasgow and New York, terror elements had looked at underground sub-stations for planting bombs. In the eventuality of any attacks by terrorists, these structures will be at high risk,” he said in a release.
