Three killed in separate accidents

Two men and a woman were killed in three separate accidents in the City since Saturday night.

Shabana Sherief, 22, a fabricator, was killed when a water tanker ran over him Chennasandra on Saturday night. Sherief, a resident of Govindapura, Nagawara, worked at a construction site.

The accident occurred when he was riding home on his bike from workplace. As Sherief fell on the road, the speeding water tanker ran over him. KR Puram police have registered a case. The water tanker driver is absconding.

In another incident, Muniyamma, 50, was mowed down by an earth mover on the Sadarahalli Main Road near the Bengaluru International Airport.

Muniyamma, a worker, was run over near her house as she tried to cross the road on Saturday evening. She was immediately rushed to a private hospital nearby, but was declared brought dead.

The Bengaluru International Airport Traffic Police have registered a case. The driver of the earth mover abandoned the vehicle and fled the scene. The police have seized the vehicle.

A lorry cleaner was mowed down by a speeding KSTDC vehicle near Kannamangala Gate on Saturday night. Kiran, 25, a native of Andhra Pradesh, was trying to cross the road when he was hit by the vehicle.

Kiran had come to Bangalore with lorry driver Tirupathi. On Saturday night, as the driver parked the vehicle by the road, Kiran got off the lorry and tried to cross the road to reach a shop.

BIA police have registered a case. The driver of the KSTDC vehicle is absconding and the police have seized the vehicle.
