The incident occurred when umpire S.Ravi no-balled Mashrafe Mortaza in the final over as there were only three fielders in the 30-yard circle.

Chargers needed 21 in that over to win the match and Rohit Sharma hit the first ball for a four. “On-field dissent by a player is a Level 1 offence and is a direct breach of the IPL Code of Conduct for Players,” an official statement said.

The two umpires - Ravi and Rudi Koertzen - will hold a hearing on the incident Sunday.
McCullum appologised for his behaviour at the post-match presentation ceremony.
“I want to apologise for the reaction out there, it was purely out of emotion. It’s not easy being in a team that has lost of a lot of tight games,” he said.
