PVSM for Air Force Command chief

Air Marshal Rajinder Singh, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, IAF Training Command Headquarters in Bangalore is being awarded the ‘Param Vishisht Seva Medal (PVSM)’.

On the occasion of Republic Day, award is being presented for his distinguished and meritorious service.

Singh was commissioned in the Flying branch on December 14, 1974 and is a qualified flying instructor who has clocked a total of over 3,100 hours on the Hawker Hunter, the Marut, the Kiran and all variants of MiG combat aircraft, in a career spanning four decades.

He has also commanded a frontline fighter squadron besides holding prestigious appointments as Air Officer Commanding, Air Force Station Palam, and as Defence Attache at Embassy of India, Egypt.
