Boy cranes neck out of van, killed

A school boy, who was peering out of a moving school van, hit his head against an electricity pole and died on the spot.

Rahul, 10, of Mylandahalli and a Class V student of SRV School at Vakkaleri in the taluk, was the victim of the accident on Thursday.

The school children were being taken home at around 7.30 pm after they attended the annual day of the school at Chennayya Rangamandira.

The van was moving in reverse to turn into a main road when Rahul put his head out of the vehicle and his head dashed against the pole, said the police.
