She has contributed a sum of Rs 50 lakh to Sri Suyatheendra Theertha Swamy of the Mutt, who is in Bangalore for fund raising. She met the seer on Friday and handed over the cheque.

She and her husband, Narayan Murthy had earlier contributed Rs 5 crore for the construction of a dining hall - Annapurna, and another sum of Rs 50 lakh towards goshala at Mantralaya.

The pontiff arrived on Thursday evening on a seven-day visit to Bangalore. He is staying at the Raghavendra Swami Mutt at Jayanagar 5th block.
On this occasion, the Mutt is collecting contribution from people for rebuilding Mantralaya, which was devastated in the recent floods. The Swamiji too was stranded in the flood waters and he was airlifted to safety.

The Mutt has organised special poojas as part of Deepavali festival. Devotees who are willing, can contribute for the cause from 8 am to 10 am and 4 pm and 6 pm, the Mutt staff said.
