It’s that time of the year again when actors across the country will take a break from work and play what the country loves best –– cricket. Season three of the Celebrity Cricket League (CCL) is all set kickstart on January 9 and namma ‘Karnataka Bulldozers’ team is all set for the game.

Launching the team at the Chancery Pavilion on Thursday, the proud team owner Ashok Kheny along with the captain Kiccha Sudeep, was all smiles. “For the last two years we have been the runners-up, however this time, I am sure we will grab the cup. The league is more organised this time and we have two new teams — ‘Veer Marathi’ and ‘Bhojpuri Dabanggs’ — joining the league this year. But I am confident and happy that the team is in the safe hands of Sudeep,” adds Ashok Kheny.

For the new season, there haven’t been many changes made to the team, with Sudeep being the team captain and ‘Challenging Star’ Darshan being the ‘Star Player’. The rest of the team comprises of Chiranjeevi Sarja, Tharun Chandra, Diganth, Dhruv Sharma, Dharma, Pradeep, J Karthik and others.

The team has been practising rigorously for the last two months and have really put in a lot of effort to stay fit and healthy for the match. “The last two seasons, we have come this close to winning and lost by just a run or two. But we are ready for it this season and we are better and stronger than ever,” says actor Tharun Chandra.
The brand ambassador Aindrita Ray was also present at the launch. “The boys are really looking fit and we have seen the hard work they have put into this league. I am keeping my fingers crossed and I think it’s about time they won the cup,” she adds.

Captain Sudeep was seen mingling with one and all. He said he is really confident about this year and doesn’t see the two new teams as any competition. And adds, “Now, the team will do the talking on the field.” The CCL will start on February 9 with the first match in Kochi. It will then move on to other venues like Siliguri, Hyderabad, Dubai, Ranchi, Chennai and Pune.

Due to lack of availability of the field, only the finals will be held in Bangalore, which is on March 10.
