Rakshitha stars for Combined City

*An unbeaten half-century from Rakshitha (65 n.o.) propelled Combined City XI to a facile 68-run win over Bangalore City XI in the KSCA women’s T20 tournament at the BGS grounds on Saturday.
Brief scores: Combined City XI: 148/2 in 20 overs (Rakshitha K 65 n.o., Meena Kumari 36) bt Bangalore City XI: 80/7 in 20 overs (Rameshwari G 26; Rajeshwari G 2-15, Spoorthi P 4-14).

Thimmaiah spurs SAI to final

*Nikin Thimmaiah struck three goals (15th, 34th, 59th) to spur Sports Authority of India into the final with a resounding 6-1 win over Army Green in the 16th Field Marshall Cariappa hockey tournament at the KSHA grounds on Saturday.
SAI will take on MEG, who defeated Army Service Corps 2-1 in their semifinal encounter, in the final.
Results (semifinals): SAI: 6 (Darshan 13th, Nikin Thimmaiah 15th, 34th, 59th, Depak Bijwad 43rd, Manikantan 54th) bt Army Green: 1 (Muthanna 5th); MEG: 2 (Rakesh Anthony 34th,  Sagaya Jayaseelan 69th) bt ASC: 1 (Majhi 20th).

Albanese conducts clinic

*Jack Albanese, a qualified FA licensed coach from Manchester, UK, conducted a football clinic for young kids at the Jeevan Blue Football Ground on Saturday.
Albanese, who will wind up the clinic on Sunday, will continue to work with young kids in clinics --  to be hosted by Lokko Sports -- across the country in a bid to identify and harness young talent.
